For every project,
Satto
Translations uses at least three professional
linguists to ensure quality and consistency in our translation process.
First,
we assign a professional translator with native fluency specializing in
the subject matter of your project. For larger projects with
rapid turnaround, more than one translator may be assigned to a project.
Second,
an editor reviews the translation for accuracy, terminology, style and
use of language. The editor can assure consistency of
terminology and usage both within a single document and across several
documents.
In
the final step, a proofeader reviews the documents to make
sure that they are accurate and error-free.
In
all cases, we can deliver your project on time and
error-free in the format of your choice, assuring you a competetive
edge in the global market.
Computer
Assisted Translation (CAT)
Although no computer can translate as accurately as a human translator,
computers are now able to help translators with the details of
translation work. Our translators now used specialized CAT
software that:
- tracks the formatting
of
the original and the translation to maintain an identical style,
allowing the translator to focus on translation and not formatting;
- tracks phrases and
special constructions so that the proper terminology is used
consistently in a translation;
- identifies sentences
that
have already been translated so that they are accurately translated the
second, third, and fourth time.
CAT software is particularly useful for large projects involving
potentially dozens of translators. In these cases, our
translators are able to use a central database of approved specialized
terminology and marketing language, reducing translation time
and
increasing accuracy and consistency.
